Eat More Of Complex Carbohydrates, Good Fats And Calories

When you do weight training, carbohydrates fuel your work-out. You have to eat complex carbohydrates and target to get 50% of calories from this complex carbohydrates. Whole grain bread, rice, oats are some food which contain complex carbs. You should avoid soft drinks and simple sugar which contain bad carbs.

You must be asking why you need to consume fat as it is converted and stored in body, thereby increasing body weight. However, this is not true. Fats are required for production of hormones and functioning of body organs. Good fat does not get stored in body but utilized first hand as source of fuel by the body.

If there is absence of good fat, body uses protein which was supposed to be used for muscle building as source of fuel for functioning of vital organs. So, you should eat good fats and make sure that you get 25% – 35% of your daily calorie intake from good fat.You can get good fat from olive oil, fish, peanut butter, etc. You should not eat vegetable oils, fat from animals and butter.

If you want to get bigger in size, you have to eat more calories. Your body utilize calories as source of fuel to perform body functions. You can source this calories from protein, complex carbs and good fats.
